Taste of New York  - Culinary Oriented Group Program


Suitable for Corporate as well as Leisure groups



Day 1: 


Transfer to Manhattan via private motor coach from the airport.  Check into your hotel in hip Soho.



Afternoon free for enjoying art galleries and shopping.



Evening cooking lesson followed by dinner in a spacious Tribeca loft at Cooking by the Book.



For over a decade, guests have gathered in the warm, mouthwatering atmosphere of Cooking by the Book’s kitchen to participate in hands-on “prep to plate” cooking experiences.



Your private culinary event is a three-hour hands-on event from start to finish and includes:



  • Wine and hors d’oeuvres reception

  • Three-course meal with seasonal wines

  • Professional cooking instruction

  • Personalized aprons

  • Recipes

  • Digital photos



When the cooking segment ends, guests retire to Cooking by the Book’s art-filled dining area to enjoy their gourmet meal with seasonal wines. Leisurely walk back to your hotel.


Day 2: 



Private Three Hour Food Tasting, Walking and Historical Tour of Greenwich Village    


Greenwich Village, with its tree lined residential streets, small boutiques, sidewalk cafes, and rich history is one of Manhattan’s most charming and vibrant neighborhoods. On your tour, your will step back in time and discover the Greenwich Village that only it’s residents know. Learn about it’s history, architecture and entertainment, and discover scrumptious food hideaways.


Tour stops include:


  • 15 unique food establishments situated off the beaten path (restaurants and specialty food shops that locals frequent)

  • The oldest wooden house in the Village (built in 1822)

  • A Landmark Speakeasy from the roaring 20’s (this is a real secret)

  • Hidden courtyards and gardens

  • The first experimental off Broadway theater in the west Village

  • The narrowest house in the Village (9 ½ feet wide)

  • The old Italian neighborhood – Since 1890!

  • Town homes, brownstones, row houses from the early to mid 1800’s


Tastings included on the tour:


  • Old world style brick oven Italian proscuitto bread

  • Three types of delicious cheeses and olives from around the world.

  • Homemade rice balls.

  • Home made chocolates from one of the best chocolate shops in NYC

  • The best fresh - filled cannoli’s in NYC. 

  • Authentic New York pizza, thin and crispy with a homemade sauce.

  • A fresh falafel and donor kebab with grilled pita bread and two sauces (food tasting are subject to change)


Afternoon free for sightseeing, shopping, perhaps seeing a Broadway show.


Have dinner on your own at one of Manhattan’s many wonderful restaurants. 


Day 3:


Enjoy a helicopter sightseeing tour over Manhattan.


Transfer via private motorcoach to the airport
